Christmas K4 Post Lockdown
Saturday 19th December 2020
Start time first boat to start at 11:00am
The club has access to 5 K4’s and 2 Rockets. Other K4s may be available if necessary.
Crews can be made up of any combination but will be handicapped according to marathon division, the handicap chart below and head coaches/race organisers discretion.
If you do not have a crew and would like to take part, then please contact me via email steve.rance@virginmedia.com.
Crews to be competent in the boat for the conditions on the day – there is no provision of rescue craft.
Buoyancy aids must be worn. Please also wear Santa hats.
Entries to be made a week before the event on the Southampton Canoe Club website. Entries close 12th Dec

If you have your own boat or access to you one, you are more than welcome to enter.The course is 5km from the Park to Northam Bridge and back.
Handicap system is using table below start with the lowest ranking boat, then count backwards the amount of handicap time for each boat, this will give the time after 0 that the boat should start.
e.g. (Boat 1) 4x div8 = 32 & (Boat 2) 4x div 5 = 20 & (Boat 3) 2 div2 + 2 div3 = 10
Boat 1 Starts at 0
Handicap for boat 2 = (11x20sec) +(2x15sec) = 250sec therefore Boat 2 Starts 4min 16 after Boat 1
Handicap for boat 3 = (11x20sec) +(4x15sec) +(4x10sec) +(3x5sec) = 335sec therefore Boat 3 starts 5min 58 after boat 1 Total Ranking Handicap Total Ranking Handicap
